Feldbinder trailer service – over 30 years of experience
PHS Magnum has been servicing Feldbinder silo trailers for over 30 years at our facility in Chorula, Opole region — 4 km from the A4 motorway and 180 km from the German border. ISO 9001:2015 certified.
Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerk manufactures silo trailers in aluminium and stainless steel (AISI 304L, 316L) for food, chemical and construction bulk transport. Correct servicing requires specialist knowledge of both hygienic requirements and pressure vessel regulations. We cover all current and legacy Feldbinder models: EUT, KIP, EUT-C and the older single-compartment series.
Service scope by trailer type
Feldbinder EUT (horizontal pneumatic silo)
- Pneumatic discharge system: aeration pad pressure test (1.5 bar), manifold tightness, discharge valve operation
- Bottom discharge fitting leak test (1.0 bar for 15 minutes)
- Bottom valve and butterfly valve operation and sealing
- Dome hatch seal inspection and pressure test (1.0 bar / 10 min, zero drop)
- Safety valve calibration and documentation
- Camlock fitting inspection and replacement
Feldbinder KIP (tipping silo with hydraulics)
- All EUT checks listed above, plus:
- Hydraulic tipping cylinder: oil seal condition, cylinder rod corrosion, hydraulic hose integrity
- Main pivot pin lubrication and wear measurement
- Hydraulic pump and valve block: pressure, leaks, response time
- Rear discharge valve seal — checked under simulated tipping angle
- Support leg and chassis stress points inspected under full working load

EBS / ABS systems
We read and clear WABCO and Haldex EBS fault codes, check ABS wheel speed sensor gaps, balance brake forces across axles, and issue a full brake test certificate. All work conforms to EU 2015/68 braking regulation.
Axle service: SAF and BPW
We service SAF INTRA and BPW ECO Plus axles: bearing replacement, brake pad and disc measurement, kingpin wear check, wheel-end seal replacement and axle alignment. Worn axles replaced with manufacturer-approved units.
Most common Feldbinder faults
- Worn aeration pads — incomplete pneumatic discharge, product bridging in tank
- Dome hatch seal failure — moisture ingress, product caking, failed TDT pressure test
- KIP hydraulic seal leaks — cylinder rod scoring causes oil bypass; early replacement prevents full cylinder replacement
- Weld porosity on stainless food tanks — fails Ra and hygiene check; requires TIG re-weld and re-passivation
- Corroded aluminium bottom fittings — cement and lime residue causes galvanic corrosion at steel-aluminium interfaces
