Capacity. The 38–66 m³ range is taken from the manufacturer’s official website (feldbinder.com). The trailer designation (e.g. KIP 60.3) indicates nominal capacity in m³. We confirm the exact capacity of a specific trailer from the VIN.
What the KIP carries
The KIP is the right choice wherever the bulk material does not discharge fully under gravity from a horizontal vessel:
- Cement and lime — heavy, poorly flowing construction materials
- Fly ash — a by-product of power generation, transported in bulk
- Chemical powders with low flowability — subject to compatibility verification
- Materials prone to bridging or arching, where tipping assists complete emptying
For lightweight PE/PP granulates, horizontal EUT trailers (31–60 m³) are more commonly used — with no hydraulic system required.
KIP service at PHS Magnum
The KIP requires servicing across two systems: the standard silo system (pneumatics, pressure vessel) and the additional hydraulic tipping system. We carry out:
- Tipping hydraulics — cylinder reconditioning, hinge bearing replacement, PTO pump service, pressure testing
- Pneumatic system — aeration pads, valves, leak diagnostics
- Welding and collision repairs — with documentation for TDT inspection
- Paintwork refurbishment — Sa 2.5 shot blasting, epoxy primer, 2K PUR topcoat

- Inspection and quote — diagnostic at our facility in Chorula (including hydraulic test), quote within 24 h.
- Service or repair — cylinder reconditioning, bearings, PTO pump, welding, refurbishment.
- Documentation and TDT inspection — protocols, certificates, coordination of TDT examination.
- Collection — after the tipping test the vehicle returns to service.
